Navikin Inc (“Navikin”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is the organisation responsible for the personal information collected through the Navikin mobile application and related services.
Navikin is currently available only to users in Australia.
2. What personal information we collect
We only collect the information needed to operate the service:
When you create an account
- Email address
- Name (or the name you choose to use)
- Login credentials (handled securely via our authentication providers)
When you set up a Parent Profile
- Parent’s first name (or preferred name)
- Your relationship to the parent
- The Australian state or territory the parent lives in
When you use the app
- The type of situation you log (for example: fall, diagnosis, growing frailty, or death of a parent)
- The status of tasks (not started, done, or doesn’t apply)
- Basic technical information needed to run the app and send notifications (device type, operating system, and push notification token)
We do not collect or store:
- Copies of legal documents (Powers of Attorney, Wills, medical records, etc.)
- Bank account details, tax file numbers, or other financial account information
- Detailed medical information beyond the general situation you choose to log
3. Why we collect this information
We collect personal information so we can:
- Create and manage your account and Family/Parent Profile
- Generate a personalised workflow based on the parent’s jurisdiction and situation
- Remember what you have already completed so you are never asked the same thing twice
- Send you relevant reminders and notifications
- Improve the reliability and usefulness of the service
We only use your information for these purposes.
4. How we use and share information
We do not sell personal information.
We may share limited information with trusted service providers who help us operate the app (for example, secure hosting, authentication, and push notification delivery). These providers are only allowed to use the information to provide their service to us and are required to protect it.
We will only disclose personal information if required by Australian law or if necessary to protect the safety of a person.
5. Storage and security
Personal information is stored securely using industry-standard measures. Access is restricted to people who need it to operate the service.
Because the app is currently only available in Australia, we design our systems with Australian privacy expectations in mind.
